Dragons, Shadow Mysteries, and Fox Familiars—Oh My!
Hi friends!
Thank you SO much to everyone who has already read Fire and Fangs in ebook or through Kindle Unlimited! Your messages, reviews, and love for Isla and Raze have absolutely made my week. I'm so thrilled you're enjoying this snarky, sparkly, romantic, and chaotic ride. If you haven’t grabbed it yet, please consider spending your weekend in Brightstone Bay, on the romantic side of town. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed :)
I can’t WAIT to start writing the second book in the Brightstone Bay RomComs: Brooms and Brimstone. I’m so excited to spend some extra time with Daisy!
To celebrate this new series, here’s a little scene between Isla and Raze that didn’t make it into the book:
“You’re pouting,” Isla said, not looking up from the ledger. “I told you I’d take a raincheck on the dragon-wing glider ride after I’m done with work.”
“Dragons don’t pout,” Raze muttered, arms crossed and eyes smoldering.
She arched an eyebrow. “You literally just set a marshmallow on fire with your sigh.”
“It was too close to my brooding zone.”
“You’re impossible.”
“You like me impossible.”
Isla finally looked up, grinning. “Unfortunately for me, yes.”
Now that Fire and Fangs is out in the wild, it’s time to get excited about what’s next...
Coming Up: Spells and Shadows!
Maple Winterbourne's back in the main character slot, and things in Brightstone Bay are anything but quiet. There's mystery brewing, magical pets causing mischief, and a girls’ night that may or may not involve enchanted figs.
Here’s a peek at a day in Maple’s life lately:
7:00 AM: Woken up by Solstice yowling dramatically because breakfast is seven seconds late
7:15 AM: Make coffee. House objects to early morning and starts sulking—lights flicker, floorboards grumble, there’s a passive-aggressive draft in the hallway
9:00 AM: Try to review clues. Daisy shows up with baked goods and unsolicited theories
11:30 AM: Zephyr stops by and completely derails my train of thought with his rugged jawline
1:00 PM: Interrogate a suspect who offers me a coupon for psychic readings instead of an alibi
3:30 PM: Emergency Council meeting. Weather vane indicates Nyx is in a Mood™
6:30 PM: Girls’ night. Isla brings figs snacks that everyone’s suspicious of. Glarg the bridge troll shows up uninvited but with excellent wine
✨ Spells and Shadows is coming very soon. Pre-order it now and read or re-read the other Brightstone Bay mysteries to make sure you’re ready for the mayhem, magic, and mystery.
